Samothrace, is the southernmost island and point in Greek Thrace. The design area located in the town called Chora (elevation 210-250 m). The design focuses on the monumental rock called «Pirgos» with the Byzantine Fortress «Palamidi Gateliouzou» on it, which is the landmark of the island. Also, the rocky area called «Aretsouda» and the facades of the public buildings of the church of «Koimiseos tis Theotokou» and the Old School.
The objective was to create a convivial ambience in the natural settings located just steps away from the town. The design uses LEDlighting in Tricolour and mon-colour version, floodlighting, reflectors with symmetrical and asymmetrical wide and bollards lighting. The rocks have been outlined with cross lighting that produces shadows and varied perceptions.
