The core idea centred on the reuse of the space of the road by pedestrians for daily, festive and recreational activities. Apart from the refurbishment of specific sections of in-between spaces, the road itself was repaved at a level 60cm lower as a representation of an irrigation channel. This 1.00m wide channel/path was placed in the centre of the road as stone encased in concrete, surrounded by asphalt, that widens to embrace the whole space of the road creating "pools" in areas where social use was identified to exist.

This motif of stone encased in concrete was used in side streets that approach the main road with different variations according to level and direction to create a unifying theme throughout the town.
